We have a deep respect for the science of Horticulture. The palette of materials proposed for a job would depend on the environment- for example is the property on the water or nestled in the woods, and on the architectural style and the people who own the house. Many elements go into the choice of materials. We think what matters most is that in the development of a palette of materials that thought goes into the structure, style, color, and texture of the design.
Our maintenance division offers organic solutions as an alternative to traditional sprays and applications.
We have references on our website, as well as photos of completed projects and drawings.
Yes not only do we offer free maintenance estimates but we offer design services at no cost as well. We will create a custom design which we will review with the client in person. The design is not released to the client until the contract is approved.
The process for designing a landscape is to first meet with the client, listen to their ideas and measure/photograph the property. Then our design department creates a custom design to scale for the first meeting. If the design is on target then any adjustments are made and a final estimate is drawn up. A final meeting is set to review the final estimate. Then after everything is approved we begin construction. Remember maintenance is everything. The best design and finest execution is only as good as its maintenance.
The length of time it takes to complete a project depends upon the size of the project. Generally a project can run from 3 weeks to 5 weeks if it includes stonework. Jobs for plantings only take less time.
Yes we prefer to maintain our own properties. We like to guide the growth of the materials and the methods for things such as staking and trimming.
